Synopsis

Martín Pells (Mike Amigorena), a haughty and manipulative man, is the most famous news anchor in the country. He has worked for several years at the channel Mega News, and his work there has allowed him to achieve the public recognition he enjoys. Marcela Núñez (Mirta Busnelli), owner of the channel M Noticias, Mega News' competitor, knows that his contract with the channel will soon end. She secretly offers him a job, which after some negotiations, Pells decides to accept.

Martín informs the owner of Mega News, Franco Andrada (Hugo Arana), of his decision to leave his job. Desperate upon hearing this confession, Franco engages in a heated dispute with the journalist. In a moment of anger, Franco pushes Martín, who falls backwards and hits his head, rendering him unconscious. Scared and worried, believing he has killed the country's most famous man, Franco leaves the situation in the hands of his right-hand woman, Amanda Wedell (Andrea Bonelli), and leaves the channel.

Coincidentally, on his way home, Franco accidentally hits Gonzalo Echagüe (Mike Amigorena), an actor and theater professor who bears a striking physical resemblance to Martín. Franco proposes that Gonzalo replace Martín in exchange for a significant sum of money. Pressured by a mortgage debt, Gonzalo accepts and, after signing a contract that neither he nor his manager had read, begins to impersonate Pells.

Gonzalo, now living his new life as Martín, discovers that the Pells are a couple only in front of the cameras and the public, but in private they ignore each other and have a bad relationship. Martín is homosexual and is in a relationship with Tomás Andrada (Diego Ramos), the son of the channel's owner, while Sol is in a romance with Diego Planes (Walter Quiroz), a reporter from Mega News. Over time, Gonzalo falls in love with Sol and tries to get closer to her, but he is rejected by his supposed wife, who knows that Martín does not like women because he confessed this to her after they started a romantic relationship that he had used for convenience to climb positions within the channel. But since he is not attracted to men, Sol is intrigued by how their relationship changes over time, with him being closer to her than to Tomás.
