Synopsis:
"The Last Hope" is the name of a marginal neighborhood where humble and hardworking people live alongside dishonest and lazy ones. Here lives Estelita, a young orphan who studies and tirelessly seeks work to support her alcoholic and depressive father. On the other hand, Daniel Burana is a young millionaire playboy dedicated to fleeting romances and the lavish life that his inherited wealth provides. One day, Daniel's uncle, Alejandro, tells him that his inheritance is a piece of land with poor housing called "La Última Esperanza," and that it's necessary to remove its occupants to build an upscale apartment complex. Daniel visits the neighborhood dressed in old clothes and meets Estelita, who is unlike other women he usually encounters.
