Synopsis

The novel tells the story of two couples: Franz and Amelia, who fall in love, despite being from different social classes they get married and from that love Perla is born. Yolanda and Mundo share the same obstacle as Franz and Amelia to be happy: Franz's father, Ernest. Ernest will do anything to separate Franz from Amelia and have custody of the granddaughter, and that's why he incriminates Amelia, putting her unfairly behind bars and making his son think he should have a wife from his social class. With Amelia in prison, Franz marries Silvia, a mysterious woman who had destroyed the Ernest family and is now planning revenge. Silvia joins Manfred, Ernest's bastard and despised son, and together they plan to destabilize the Hauser family. But not only Amelia is a victim of Ernest. The villain falls in love with Yolanda and forces her to separate from Mundo, threatening to leave her family destitute if she does not accept his marriage proposal. With no alternatives, Yolanda marries Ernest and becomes Hauser, suffering greatly to give up her happiness, but maintaining her principles and dignity intact, even living a very unhappy marriage. The light of this dysfunctional family is still Perla, daughter of Franz and Amelia. She is a very valuable and special girl, a fact that can be explained by the monks: she was the reincarnation of Ananda Rimbroche. Perla's mission is to teach people to love unconditionally, and she will make her grandfather's heart light up with tenderness and affection.
