Synopsis

María Emilia Pardo-Figueroa is a young woman who belongs to a family that in the not too distant past was one of the wealthiest and socially prominent families in Peru, but after the death of her father, it was discovered that, due to mismanagement on his part, the only inheritance he left to his family were debts that left them in poverty and excluded them from the high society world to which they belonged, causing María Emilia, her two siblings, Mónica and Augusto "Gucho" and her paternal grandmother Doña Josefina Benavides de Pardo-Figueroa to be ruined, after suffering the seizure of all their assets, they had to move to a humble neighborhood in Lima, the Rímac. Although María Emilia quickly adapted to humble life thanks in part to the personality she inherited from her late mother and the help of her neighbors, the Gómez family, the rest of her family could not accept that situation, they feel that this is not their world and they want to return to the world they belonged to before they were ruined and regain their privileged life.
