Telenovela Televisa La Malquerida

Acacia loses her father Alonso in an accident while he was riding a horse. Cristina, her mother and his wife, upon suddenly becoming a widow, finds out that her husband had mortgaged the estate to cover the expenses of crops and livestock. Unable to find a solution to this, she decides to sell the estate and go live with her parents along with her daughter. The inheritance of her husband, which her daughter Acacia loved very much, was rescued by Esteban, a farmhand, before it was sold.

After so much effort on the part of Cristina and Esteban, they manage to rebuild the Benavente estate and they both begin to feel a "great sentimental attraction". Acacia, who was just a child, could not understand the love they had for each other, she still could not overcome the recent loss of her father and filled with hatred she does everything possible to leave the estate. Meanwhile, Juan Carlos and Elena, Cristina's parents, convince her to go live with them, until she manages to overcome her father's death and accept her mother's relationship with Esteban.

10 years pass, but Acacia's hatred and resentment towards Esteban have not changed. Upon returning to the estate as a beautiful young woman, the first person she sees is Esteban, who does not recognize her after so long. Acacia is defiant and makes it clear that she is the owner of the Benavente estate. However, a hidden love begins to emerge between the two, driving Esteban crazy as he starts to push away any man who approaches Acacia, turning her into 'La Malquerida'.

However, this is not the only theme of the novel, it also addresses other issues such as prostitution, to which Alejandra had to submit for many years; and the different problems that can arise within a family due to lack of communication, as is the case of Norberto and Juliana.
