Synopsis:
The Wonder Years presented some of the social issues and historical events from 1968 to 1973, seen through the main character, Kevin "Kev" Arnold, who also faced social conflicts of teenagers (mainly with his best friend, Paul, and Winnie Cooper, whom he was in love with), family problems, and other issues.

• Kevin "Kev" Arnold (Fred Savage) - A white American teenager, born on March 18, 1956, who attends high school (later high school) while growing up, in the late 1960s and early 1970s. (115 episodes: 1-115) (1988-1993)
• Gwendolyne "Winnie" Cooper (Danica McKellar) - Kevin's main love interest. Although Kevin in some episodes could be interested in someone else upon meeting them. She lives on the same street as Kevin and is of Iranian descent. Their first kiss and Winnie's older brother's death in Vietnam were very important in the pilot episode. In another episode, the parents separate due to the grief over their son's death. In the epilogue of the final episode, it is revealed that Winnie travels abroad to study art history in Paris. Kevin and Winnie write to each other every week for eight years until she returns, and in the final moments, Kevin says that when Winnie returned to the United States, she met his lifelong partner and their first child. • Paul Joshua "Paul" Pfeiffer (Josh Saviano) - Kevin's lifelong best friend, born on March 14, 1956, of Jewish origin. He is an excellent student, extremely intelligent. • John "Jack" Arnold - (Dan Lauria) Kevin's father, a Korean War veteran. He is of Italian, Romanian, and Polish descent. In the show, he is a very closed and serious father. He originally worked at NORCOM, a huge corporation, as a Distribution Manager and later as a Regional Manager, hating having superiors, so he later started his own business building and selling handmade furniture. • Norma Arnold (Alley Mills) - Kevin's mother, rarely leaves the house. Her maiden name was Gustavson, she is an only child and of Scandinavian and Welsh descent. She is very friendly and could be said to have the most spirit in the house. She met Jack in the early semesters of college. When he graduated, she moved across the country with him and did not finish college. However, in the final episodes, she completes her degree and pursues her career, eventually becoming the President of a Technology Company she joined to work for.
