Synopsis

Marianela is a sweet, fun, and very intelligent girl, you could say she has everything, except physical beauty, as she is a young woman overweight. For years, Marianela has eaten chocolates as antidepressants, because despite radiating happiness, she feels very lonely, as she has lived in a boarding school since she was eight years old, far from her mother. On the day of her high school graduation, Marianela finally manages to reunite with Eva, her mother, who apologizes for abandoning her for so long and promises that they will never be separated again, but they never imagine that Eva will die mysteriously in a terrible accident. As a result, Marianela is forced to go live with her aunt Fedra, a wicked woman with bad intentions, who always hated Eva and will not rest until she destroys her niece. Marianela suffers a number of humiliations from her aunt and Kristel, her cousin, who constantly mock her overweight. Therefore, Marianela must find her inner strength to overcome the adversities that come her way. Within her new 'home', Marianela will see the light, and will find love when she reunites with Emanuel, a handsome publicist who will become her friend and confidant and who will eventually fall in love with her. On the other hand, Marianela will constantly seek refuge in her aunt Netty, her mother's sister, a friendly retired actress who has a boarding house and has made the people who live in it her family. Netty will gradually teach her niece to love herself, to value herself, and to face all the obstacles that come her way. Determined to eliminate her forever, Fedra will try to poison Marianela with chocolates, but she will do everything in such a way that it points to Emanuel as the one responsible for the attack. Marianela will manage to save herself, but will suffer a strong disappointment when she believes that Emanuel tried to kill her, this incident will motivate her to lose weight and have an enviable, healthy, and beautiful physique, which will practically make her become another woman. From that moment on, Marianela will begin to plot an interesting revenge against Emanuel and all those who made her suffer in the past.
