Plot

In 1979, Gabriela Suárez, a young theater student and cheerleader for a basketball team, starts working at a car wash workshop to financially support her family, as her father has just passed away and she must take care of her younger siblings.

The car wash workshop is owned by a famous businessman, Tito Clemente, with whom Gabriela will have a brief but passionate romance. However, shortly after, she is falsely accused of a drug trafficking crime, resulting in her arrest and a twelve-year prison sentence. Believing that his former lover is guilty of what happened, Tito abandons her to her fate without knowing that Gabriela is pregnant.

In prison, Gabriela begins to make plans to escape. After seven years behind bars, the young woman manages to escape with one goal in mind: to seek revenge on the man who ruined her life. To achieve this, Gabriela changes her physical appearance and adopts the false name of Emperatriz Ferrer. In this way, Gabriela will manage to get back into Tito Clemente's life and then make him fall in love with her again.
